Sakshi is an open-minded and empathetic Clinical Psychologist. Sakshi likes to establish strong and non-judgemental therapeutic relationships with her clients. She believes this is fundamental in creating a safe space for clients to be open and work collaboratively to improve their current and future wellbeing.
Sakshi has worked with young people and adolescents across public mental health settings. This experience includes working across a range of mental health difficulties, including Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Personality Disorders. Sakshi is also passionate about early intervention and working with individuals who are experiencing difficulties in regulating their emotions, in their relationships, or with their sense of identity. Sakshi has a particular interest in working within a trauma-informed framework and understanding an individual’s mental health difficulties in the context of their early life experiences.
Sakshi has experience and is trained across a number of different therapeutic approaches (i.e., Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy), and likes to take a person-centred approach in tailoring treatment to an individual’s unique needs.
