BILLING POLICY

All Psychiatry specialists provide Telehealth services via online video conference call.

All services are delivered via an online video conference call.
You can attend the video conference session either alone, with family or supportive friends or with your referring doctor.

We are a private billing practice and a Pre-payment is required in full 48hrs prior to the appointment.

– Our friendly admin staff will help you understand the cost of our service prior to your attendance. All appointments are charged at our private fee rate which is above Medicare schedule fee, which means that client incurs an out of pocket expense.

– A Surcharge of 1% will be chargeable for all credit/debit card payments.

In the event of non-payment of the full consultation fees in advance (48hrs prior to the appointment) or other service fees, the company will endeavour to contact the clients twice via reminder phone or text message or an email, after which, the company will cancel the appointment and offer to another client on the waitlist.

– We understand that circumstances may change, so we request that you contact the clinic 48 hrs prior to your appointment time for any changes or cancellations se we can offer the appointment to another client on the waitlist and try to accomodate you as best as we can.

– We operate Medicare Online Claiming, which allows us to submit the Medicare rebate claim on client’s behalf. It is client’s responsibility to provide us with updated medicare details and a valid GP referral for the Medicare rebate to be successful.

– Patients without a Medicare Card or services/assessments where a Medicare rebate is not applicable, the patients will be required to pay private fees. Our staff will endeavour to inform you beforehand, which assessment and/or services attract private fees.

– It is the responsibility of the patient to keep their Medicare details updated with us and be informed of the balance on their card.

Reminder:
Four days prior to your appointment you will receive an SMS reminder. If you would rather not be emailed or receive SMS reminders, please contact the administration team 03 9099 0500 to discuss an alternative.
An email reminder with a video link to your appointment comes a day before your appointment

Rescheduling or Cancelling:
We use the highest quality practitioners who book out in advance. We reserve appointment times especially for you and need to reschedule with a waiting patient if you cannot make it. Rescheduling or cancelling an appointment must be done 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.

Failure to Attend:

In the event of a “LATE CANCELLATION (within 24 hrs) or  “NO SHOW” or “MISSED APPOINTMENT”, the clinic may deduct the full Consultation Fees.

Outstanding Debts:
Any outstanding debts will be registered against your name and reported accordingly.

Following your consultation, a report will be sent to your referring doctor. Please allow a couple of weeks for this to occur.

Requests received after your consultation to send the report to another practitioner will attract an administration fee.

Prior to transferring the report, you will be asked to complete our Consent to Transfer Form and may attract an administration fee.
