Dr Antonio Da Costa is a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist with over 20 years of clinical, research and teaching experience in varied Neurosciences specialties include Neurology, Psychiatry and Neurorehabilitation Medicine. His extensive experience is gathered across 3 continents including South Asia, Europe and now Australia. He is passionate about integrated Neuroscience health care, recognising the fluid border between the body, mind, and brain.
Dr Da Costa was closely involved in establishing the national Royal College training program/syllabus in Neuropsychiatry in the UK. This fed into his own high quality Advance Specialisation pathway in Neuropsychiatry. He developed and later became the Clinical Lead of the National Neuropsychiatry service at the Walton Centre in Liverpool UK, the only NHS Neuroscience trust of UK. He is currently working on establishing such easy to access public service for patients and high-quality training programs for young doctors in Neuropsychiatry in Melbourne.
